TogetherGreen Volunteer Days

TogetherGreen is all about helping you get involved in creating a brighter, healthier future. It's a dynamic and innovative Audubon program funded by Toyota that aims to provide inspiration, leadership and opportunities that inspire people everywhere to take action at home, in their communities and beyond to improve the health of our environment.

Next Event: Birdhouse Bonanza
Saturday, March 6
10am - 2pm
Get prepared for spring nesting season!  Learn about some of the most common birds nesting in our area and how to make your yard more inviting for them.  A great family event, join us and assemble your own bird box to take home and monitor.  We will learn how to become citizen scientists by joining NestWatch and contribute data to this continent-wide program by monitoring visitors to our nest boxes.

All volunteer events will take place at the Audubon Center for Birds of Prey. Enjoy refreshments and giveaways after you lend Mother Nature a helping hand. Please register for these events. To get involved contact Katie via email or call the Center at 407-644-0190.

Volunteer Corner

Calling Current Volunteers
The Center is looking for help with special events and upcoming activities. If you are interested and can help with the events below, please contact Beth Lott. Thank you in advance and see you soon!

  • TogetherGreen events: We need two volunteers to assist with the upcoming Birdhouse Bonanza event on March 6. No experience in building birdhouses necessary—just the willingness to learn and have fun!
  • Baby Owl Shower: We need at least two volunteers who are willing to help coordinate educational activities, recruit other groups and work with staff to organize this event on May 8.

Calling New Volunteers
Upcoming Orientation is on February 20th, at 1pm. If you are interested in getting involved with our volunteer program click here for information on opportunities to get involved. Audubon Center for Birds of Prey will be having our next volunteer orientation on Saturday, February 20th, at 1pm. We are in great need of educational docents to help lead tours and help with Center programs. Clinical and rehabilitation opportunities are limited at this time, however, we are always looking for new volunteers to train for future slots! If you are interested, please respond to Beth Lott by February 17th if you want to attend.
