NATIONAL AUDUBON PROVIDES COLLABORATIVE FUNDING FOR CHAPTERS
Announcement from David Anderson, November 3, 2006
I am pleased to announce that we are now accepting applications for the NAS Collaborative Funding Grants for FY 2007.
Your grass roots organizations play a critical role in your communities by providing a conscience for conservation and a voice for wildlife. The presentation of Chapter work in the course of this year’s Assembly demonstrated the wonderful breadth of conservation programs emanating from your Chapters. Conservation efforts like these on a local scale are crucial to realizing our mutual goal of protection for wildlife and their habitats.
Collaborative funds provided by NAS can provide a source of additional revenue for your conservation projects. While these funds are limited, your organization can leverage these funds to provide matching monies, and use the project as a centerpiece of your fundraising appeal within your community. The projects that provide the greatest conservation impact will be selected for the grant money.
Please see the attached documents and direct your questions and applications to our Chapter Coordinator Jacqui Sulek.
I look forward to hearing more about all your terrific work.
